This video is my spin on how to make a delicious, and flavorful Tuna Melt Sandwich the Victoria way. This tuna melt recipe is friendly for those that like a hearty flavor, and it happens to be one of my very own.
Recipe for 4 Servings
________________________
2 packs- StarKist Chunk Light Tuna 6.4 oz.
1/2 tsp. Rosemary (fresh herb)
1/2 tsp. Thyme (fresh herb)
1 tbsp. Dill (fresh herb)
2 tbsp. Curley Parsley (fresh)
1/4 c. Green Onion (fresh)
1/4 c. Celery (fresh)
1 or 2 tbsp. Minced Garlic (your preference)
Garlic Powder (Sprinkle to cover)
Lemon Pepper (Sprinkle to cover)
(1 tbsp. Lemon Juice (fresh squeezed is best) - if you don't have lemon pepper
1/3 c. or 3 tbsp. Hellmann's Mayo
1 Handful-Low Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese (finely shredded) + 2 cups (for later)
Country Crock (Plant Butter- Olive Oil)
8 Slices-Dave's Killer Bread Organic or (your favorite bread)

Betty's Fantastic Tuna Melt +Tuna Salad, Pimiento Cheese Sandwiches
Betty has Sandwich Day in Betty's Kitchen. Betty makes a luscious tuna salad sandwich on whole-wheat bread, a creamy pimiento cheese sandwich on rye bread, and the feature of the day is . . . TA-DA: a dripping-with-flavor tuna melt!!!

Fantastic Tuna Melt, Tuna Salad, & Pimiento Cheese Sandwiches
Tuna Salad Sandwich:
6 oz. can chunk light tuna, drained
1 boiled egg, chopped
1 tablespoon onion, chopped
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 slices whole-wheat bread
Mix all ingredients, except bread. Spread the mixture on the bread. Slice off outer crusts and discard. Cut the sandwich into two equal triangles and serve.
Pimiento Cheese Sandwich:
4 oz. Velveeta cheese, at room temperature
1/4 cup chopped canned pimiento (I used the kind in a small jar.)
1/2 cup sandwich spread
2 slices dark rye bread
Mix all ingredients, except bread. Spread the mixture on the bread. Slice off outer crusts and discard. Slice down the middle, forming two equal rectangles and serve.
Tuna melt sandwich:
Tuna salad mixture
pimiento salad mixture
4 thin slices of tomato
2 slices of hearty white bread
butter or margarine, at room temperature
Take one slice of hearty white bread and spread one side with the tuna salad mixture described above. Take a second slice of hearty white bread and spread on side with the pimiento cheese mixture described above. No, place 2 thin slices of tomato on top of the bread with tuna salad and 2 thin slices of tomato on top of the bread with pimiento cheese. Fold the two halves of the sandwich together with the tomato slices meeting. Spread the top side of the sandwich with butter (at room temperature). Place in a skillet (buttered side down) over low heat and then spread the other side of the sandwich with softened butter. When the bottom side is brown (not burned), carefully turn the sandwich over and brown the other side. The sandwich is done when it is hot all the way through, the cheese is beginning to run, and both sides are crusty and brown. Remove to a cutting surface and cut slightly on a diagonal. Move to a serving plate and serve while hot. You may eat this sandwich holding it in your hands, or you may prefer to eat it with a fork. Tuna melt is a fun sandwich to make and eat. It turns out looking great, and the taste just can't be beat! PLUS, you get two bonus sandwiches--tuna salad AND pimiento cheese!!! Enjoy!

Super quick and easy to make, these are great for when you need filling up fast. Melted mozzarella makes these pittas even tastier!
Ingredients
tin of tuna in spring water
½ tin of sweetcorn in water
1 small red onion
4 tbsp light mayonnaise
3 large handfuls of grated mozzarella
Pepper
4 pitta breads
For the veg sticks
Veg Sticks
2 carrots

CLASSIC TUNA MELT: Easy, Delicious, & Satisfying/Simple Sandwich Perfect When Pressed for Time
Who doesn't love a good Tuna Melt Sandwich? If you're pressed for time, it's the easiest, most satisfying thing you can make; which is what makes it a Classic. You really don't need a recipe for this, but if you're interested in knowing what I put in mine, I'll go ahead and list the ingredients below.
Classic Tuna Melt
1 12oz. can of tuna in water (drained)
bread (I like sliced sourdough)
chopped onion
diced hamburger pickles
mayonnaise
fresh lemon juice
fresh parsley
salt & pepper
When it comes time to grill your sandwich, I spread either softened butter or mayonnaise on the outer sides of the bread and that gives it that perfectly toasted/golden quality. I also like putting a lid over the sandwich when it's being grilled. That helps the cheese melt and ensures the tuna mixture is warmed all the way through.
