4 lb Country-style pork spareribs
2/3 c Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce
2 ts Honey
3/4 ts Ground ginger
2 Garlic cloves; pressed
Arrange ribs in 9 x 12-inch microwave-safe baking pan. Cover loosely with wax paper. Microwave on High 15 minutes, turning ribs over and rearranging in pan once. Drain off fat. Combine teriyaki sauce, honey, ginger and garlic; pour evenly over ribs. Cover; microwave on High 15 minutes. Turn ribs over; brush with sauce. Cover and microwave on High 5 minutes longer, or until ribs are tender. Makes 4 to 6 servings. 500g of prime ribs (you can also use spare ribs or beef ribs)
1 piece star anise
1 piece of cinnamon bark (5 - 7 cm)
1 thumb size young ginger - minced
2 pieces shallots minced
4 cloves of garlic - minced
1 cup of Chinese rice wine
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
2 tablespoons of low sodium light soy sauce
2 tablespoons of premium dark sauce
2 tablespoons of rice vinegar (or apple cider)
Enough water to cover the ribs
