How To make Humdingers
1 c Butter
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 lb Dates; chopped
2 Eggs
2 tb Milk
1 c Nuts; chopped
1 ts Vanilla
4 c Rice krispies
1 pk Flaked coconut; 14-oz pkg
Melt butter and sugar in a skillet, stirring for 2 minutes. Add chopped dates. Set aside. In a small bowl, beat 2 eggs and milk. Slowly add a small amount of hot mixture to eggs and milk. Pour entire egg mixture into skillet. Cook mixture 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add nuts, vanilla, and cereal. Roll small amount, about 1 large heaping tablespoon, into a ball (be careful, it will be hot) and roll ball in coconut. This freezes well. -----
