This Hungarian Stew Is Like No Other | Chicken Paprikash
Chicken Paprikash is a Hungarian dish similar to goulash. It's rich in flavour and easy to make. The critical ingredient is the Hungarian paprika, which makes this dish strong in taste. The sour cream at the end really brings it all together.

Day 8/80 HUNGARY: I tried making Chicken Paprikash ????????
Today I tried making the famous Hungarian Chicken Paprikash. It kind of reminded me of Butter Chicken but a lot milder. Tasted good though! #shorts #hungary #chickenpaprikash
Ingredients
⁃ 4 tbsp of butter
⁃ 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
⁃ 2 small onions, sliced
⁃ 3 tbsp of paprika
⁃ 1 tbsp of garlic paste
⁃ 2 tbsp of plain flour
⁃ 2 medium sized tomatoes, diced
⁃ salt, to taste
⁃ 1.5 cups of sour cream
⁃ 1 cup of water or chicken stock
⁃ fresh parsley, to garnish
Method
1. Add 2 tbsp of butter and once it melts, fry the chicken until brown before setting aside
2. In the same pot, add another 2 tbsp of butter and the onions
3. Sauté the onions and once they start turning translucent, add the paprika and garlic paste
4. Add the chicken back in
5. Add flour, water (or chicken stock), salt, tomatoes and sour cream
6. Mix well and simmer on low for around 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through
7. Top with some fresh parsley
8. Enjoy!
