Tex-Mex Green Chile Cheese Grits
Tex-Mex green chile cheese grits are delicious and easy to make.
Learn to make this simple Tex-Mex grits recipe with green chiles and cheese . Hatch green chiles, cheese and just a few simple ingredients make some of the best grits we’ve tried yet.
Grits are a classic southern comfort food. These grits can be served for breakfast, brunch lunch and dinner! Simple to make yet the flavors and texture tastes like you slaved all day over a hot oven all day.

Hillbilly Jilly Tex-Mex Chile Cheese Grits
Ingredients
● 1 cup of 3 minute grits
● 3 cups of water
● 4 tablespoons butter - softened
● 1 1/2 cups grated cheese
● 1/2 cup of milk
● 1/4 to 1/2 cup of chopped green chiles
● 2 eggs beaten
● 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Bring 3 cups water and salt to boil in medium saucepan
3. Beat eggs then mix with milk
4. Add grits to boiling water - cook for 3 minutes or until thickened – stir frequently
5. Add cheese, butter and Hatch green chiles to grits and simmer until butter is melted
6. Now add egg and milk mixture – stir well while adding
7. Pour into 2-quart baking dish and bake for about 45 minutes
8. Remove from oven and sprinkle top with grated cheese
9. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving
Note: Stir often while making and adding ingredients to grits! Cheese melts naturally as grits cool.

How to make the BEST cheese grits !
Hey y'all!! These are the BEST grits ever!!! Everyone always ask me how I make my grits because they are slap ya mama, ya auntie and your cousin good !! Cheesy, creamy , and thick ! No soupy ass grits allowed where I'm from! Here's what you'll need
1 cup quick grits
4 cups water
1 tablespoon of knorrs seasoning or chicken bouillon
1 tablespoon salt
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoon butter
Cheese of choice .. now on this part please use as much cheese as you'd like . I just eyeballed mine . And adjust as needed !
