How To make Kazakh Rice
1 1/2 c Rice
1/3 c Slivered almonds
2 ea Garlic cloves minced
1 ea Med. onion chopped
1/2 c Chopped dates pitted
1/3 c Chopped prunes pitted
3 ea Dried apricots chopped
1 T Salt
1 c Lamb finely ground
- cooked 1 t Vegetable oil
Mix the lamb, almonds, fruits, onion, salt, and garlic in a large bowl. Cook the rice until almost done. Be sure to add the oil to the rice as it cooks. Do not drain! Add the lamb mixture and finish cooking the rice. Serve as a side dish or as main course. This is an easy dish that is a palate pleaser. Kazakh Rice Pilaf (Foods of Central Asia)
This is a delicious, simple rice and meat dish that can be cooked within 40 minutes.
Recipe:
1 cup rice (short grain, medium grain, or basmati)
Half a large brown onion
2 carrots
3 cloves of garlic
3tbsp vegetable oil
400g (0.9 lbs) beef or lamb meat
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Pour 2 cups of water over 1 cup of rice, leave aside.
Dice the peeled onion, grate the peeled carrot, peel and cut the garlic cloves.
Heat the oil in a pot on a medium high heat and fry the meat until brown, salt and pepper the meat.
Add onion, cook for another 3-4 minutes, then add carrot, cook for 4 more minutes.
Add rice with water, add the garlic cloves, salt, pepper.
As the pilaf starts boiling gently, lower the heat to minimum. Cover with lid, leave it cooking for 20 minutes until all the water is absorbed. Enjoy :)

Sona Masoori Rice - 1 Glass
Cinnamon - 1 1/2 inches
Mace - 1 Flower
Tomatoes - 4 Medium size
Star Anise - 1
Cardamom - 5
Cloves - 2
Bay leaves - 3
Garlic pods 20-30
Ginger - 2 inches
Onions - 2 Medium size (200gms)
Making:

Take a pan; add 3 tbsp oil
Add Boiled Eggs - 4
Fry for 3-4 Mins on Medium Flame
Add Salt - 1/4 tsp
Take aside in a bowl
In the Same pan,
????
Add another 4 tbsp oil (In Remaining oil)
Cardamom - 2
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 3
Fry for 20 seconds on Low Flame
Garlic pods 15-20
Chopped Ginger - 2 inches
Fry till it turns golden colour on Medium Flame
Chopped Green chillies - 3
Fry for 2 Mins on Medium Flame
Add Chopped Onions - 100gms
Close lid & leave for 30 seconds on High Flame
Fry for 3-4 Mins on Medium Flame
Salt (According to taste)
Add Chopped Tomatoes
Fry for 2 Mins on Medium Flame
Close lid & leave for 2 Mins on Medium Flame
Mint leaves - 1 cup
Coriander leaves - 1 cup
Fry for 2-3 Mins on Medium Flame
Close lid & leave for 2 Mins on Medium Flame
Keep aside in a plate
Place fried veggies into Mixi jar
Grind into paste
Keep aside
Place Pressure Cooker on Stove:

Salt (According to taste)
Fry for 2 Mins on Medium Flame
Add Chopped Tomatoes
Fry for 2 Mins on Medium Flame
Turmeric powder - half tsp
Red Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tbsp
Fry for 2-3 Mins on Medium Flame
Masala paste
Fry for 2 Mins on Medium Flame
30 Mins Soaked Rice
Fry for 3-4 Mins on Medium Flame
Water - 5 Glasses
(Half inch gap for last glass)
Close lid & stove off before 3rd whistle starts
Open after 15 Mins

Golden Sella Rice : 600g
Pulao/Palau Masala : Cumin Seeds, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom
Sesame Oil : 200ml
Medium Size Onions : 3
Meat (Veal) : 600g
Salt : 1 And Half Tablespoon
Pulao/Palau Masala : 1 Tablespoon
Sugar : 1 Teaspoon
Water : 500ml
Carrots : 3
Raisins : Amount Up To Your Preference
