How to make beef machaca-
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons chile ancho powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon salt, plus more for braising liquid
1 tablespoon of garlic powder
2½ pounds skirt steak or any beef that shreds well
Olive oil
1 medium white onion or red onion, chopped
6 cloves garlic, smashed
2 Roma tomatoes or vine ripe tomatoes quartered
2 serranos or jalapeño peppers, sliced
2 bay leaves
1 cup dry red wine
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/8 cup fresh lime juice or 1 whole lime
1 cup water
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules or chicken base
1/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon pepper
Salt to taste
2 chile ancho,(pablano) stems and seeds removed
After your meat is finished and shredded broil it on high for about 5 or 10 minutes to make the meat crispy, you can also add more onions and tomatoes , that's what I did. ENJOY!

Machaca- in its traditional form is the Mexican equivalent of beef jerky. It is basically beef that has been marinated, cooked, shredded and dried. Most machaca dishes now are made from beef that has been well-cooked, shredded then cooked in its juices until the desired consistency is achieved, which in Phoenix can be soupy. Machaca:
2 1/2 pounds beef chuck roast
2 bell peppers
1 small white onion
5 cloves garlic or 1 tbsp
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can beef broth
2 limes
3 bay leaves
1 tbsp each: beef bouillon, cumin, paprika, garlic pepper and oregano
1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
1/2 tbsp onion powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
