Ingredients 4 each franks 1/2 pound beef, ground 1/4 cup celery 1 each garlic clove, crushed 1
salt, dash 4 each coney buns 3/4 cup onion, chopped 1 cup tomato sauce 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce 1
pepper, dash
Directions: Brown beef in skillet. Add 1/2 cup onion and celery. Cook until almost tender. Drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 15 minutes. Warm buns in oven. Heat FRANKS in small amount of water. Spread mustard on buns. Place 1 FRANK in each bun. Spoon on hot coney sauce. Add remaining onions on top.

Easy Coney Island Chili Dog Sauce Recipe - This Coney Island chili sauce recipe is based on an authentic & original 94 year old family recipe that a friend very kindly shared with me. I've tweaked some of the spice quantities to suit my taste & I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :)

INGREDIENTS 1lb/500g ground beef 2 onions - finely diced 2 tablespoons garlic granules 1 tablespoon cider vinegar 1-2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon paprika powder ½ teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground pepper ½ teaspoon ground allspice (pimento) 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1oz/30g tomato paste ½ cup tomato ketchup 1 pint water
METHOD
STEP 1 - Heat the oil in a large pan & gently fry the onions until lightly colored.
STEP 2 - Add the ground beef & continue cooking until meat is brown.
STEP 3 - Add all other ingredients & mix well. Bring to the boil & simmer gently with lid on for 1 hour.
STEP 4 - Remove lid. Stirring occasionally to prevent burning, continue to simmer until sauce is thick.
STEP 5 - Pour sauce over your favorite frank in a steamed bun. Add ketchup, mustard & sprinkle with finely chopped onions.

Cabbage Vinegar of Choice (I used Sherry, any sweet Vinegar is great like Rice Wine) 1 Hot Dog 1 Bun
To a bowl of water add some thinly sliced up Cabbage. Add 1- 2 teaspoons of salt and 1/2 to a cup of vinegar. Put in the microwave and cook on high for 10-12 minutes. Take out, add in the hot dog and cook for an additional 1 and half minutes in the microwave. Take out, put dog and sauerkraut on the bun and enjoy gloriousness!
