Ingredients
1 Cup Hot Water
1 Cup Rolled Oats
1/2 Cup Cooked Brown Rice
1/4 Cup Cooked Red Kidney Beans
1/4 Cup Nuts of Choice
2T Flax seeds grounded and soaked in 6T hot water
2 Cloves of Garlic, Chopped
1 Onion, Chopped
1 t Cumin
1 t Cardamon
1/2 t Oregano
1/2 t Pink Salt

Cooking with Plants | Oat Burger Patties
OAT BURGER PATTIES
4 cups water
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
2 Tbs canola oil
1 Tbs ground flaxseed
1 Tbs dried sweet basil
1 tsp dried sage
1 tsp ground coriander
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped
4 cups rolled oats
Into a pot, place the ingredients in the given order, except the rolled oats.
On medium heat, bring the water to a slow boil.
Quickly stir in the rolled oats and immediately remove from the heat.
Cover and set aside to cool.
Form the oat mixture into 7.6cm (3 inch) patties. To give the look of a burger patty, use the screw lid and seal of an Agee jar. Fill the lid with the mixture and then push the lid through the ring.
Place patties on oiled baking sheets.
Bake at 180°C for 20 minutes on each side.
Serving suggestions:
As a patty in a bun with salad.
With mashed potato and gravy.
Crumbled in a tomato sauce over pasta.

100g (1 cup) Oats
260ml (1.1 cup) water
1 Egg
12g (1 tbsp) Sugar
5g (1/2 tbsp) Yeast
300g (2 cups) Bread flour/wheat flour
3g (1/2 tsp) Salt
15ml (1 tbsp) Olive oil
Egg wash
Sesame seeds
190°C (375°F) bake for about 15 minutes

1. Olive oil can be replaced with other cooking oil
2. According to your own oven and mold to change the baking temperature and time.

HOMEMADE BREADCRUMBS RECIPE
Ingredients:
2 cups rolled oats (200g)
1 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Preparation:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread the rolled oats evenly on the lined baking sheet. Drizzle melted butter or olive oil over the oats.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until the oats are lightly golden and fragrant.
Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature.
Once the oats are cool, transfer them to a food processor and pulse a few times until they break down into a breadcrumb-like texture.
Season the breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Pulse a few more times to ensure that the seasonings are evenly distributed.
Store the homemade breadcrumbs in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer until ready to use.
Enjoy your homemade breadcrumbs in your favorite recipes that call for breadcrumbs, such as meatballs, breaded chicken, or casseroles.

LEFTOVER CHICKEN PATTIES RECIPE
(makes 10 patties)
Ingredients:
4 cups shredded chicken, white or dark meat (450g)
2 eggs
1/4 cup Greek yogurt (60g)
2 tbsp mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/3 cup ground oats, or oat flour (35g)
2 tbsp minced parsley
1 cup grated cheese, mozzarella or cheddar cheese (100g)
1/4 cup coarsly ground oats, for breading (25g)
NUTRITIONAL INFO (per patty):
107 calories, fat 3.6g, carb 4.7g, protein 13.3g
Preparation:
First, shred the chicken with a fork, or chop it up with a knife.
In a large bowl, add the eggs, Greek yogurt, mustard, salt, black pepper, onion powder and garlic powder, and whisk it up.
Add the ground oats and mix until the batter is formed.
Add the parsley, grated cheese and shredded chicken, and gently fold everything together, until combined.
Scoop 1/3 cup mixture and shape the patties with your hands, you should get 10 patties about 80g each.
Pan fry the patties over medium heat for 4-5 minutes each side, using just a little bit of olive oil.
Serve with any side dish you like, or in a bun as veggie burger.
