Homemade oat burgers
I made oat burgers for lunch, and surprisingly, they taste delicious and are also moist.
4 cups water
1/2 cup braggs liquid aminos
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped ( pecans work too)
1/4 cup nutritional yeast flakes
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried sweet basil
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon dried sage
4 cups rolled oats ( I used quick oats)
Place all ingredients except rolled oats in a large pan, stir well and bring to a slow boil over m Fiume heat. Cover and set aside to cool.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Form oat mixture into 3 inch patties and place on oiled baking sheet. ( I used parchment paper instead of piling the baking sheet and I used a patty press to form the burgers.)
Bake for 15 minutes on each side.
