Paprika Chicken
Ingredients:
Chicken thigh fillets (cut into chunks) 1/2 kg
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Onions (thinly sliced) 2
Garlic minced 2 tsp
Paprika 1-1/2 tbsp
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Tomatoes diced 400 gm
Chicken stock 1-1/2 cups
Sour cream ½ cup
To Serve:
Rice (boiled) as required
Parsley sprigs few
Method:
Sprinkle the chicken chunks with salt and pepper to taste. Heat olive oil. Cook the chicken for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden. Add the onion and garlic. Cook until golden and fragrant. Add paprika and fennel seeds, the chopped tomatoes and the chicken stock. Mix well. Add the chicken back into the pan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, lastly stir in sour cream. Serve on rice, garnished with parsley.

Orange Sour Cream Cake (Milkpak Cream)
Ingredients:
Butter 200 gm
Caster sugar 200 gm
Eggs 2
Orange zest of 1 orange
Sour cream 200 ml
Flour 300 gm
Baking powder 2 tsp
Orange juice of 1 orange
Marmalade 100 gm
Method:
Beat the butter and the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Gradually add the eggs. Next beat in the orange zest and sour cream, then sift in the flour and baking powder and fold in to combine. Tip the mixture into a greased and lined cake tin, then bake at 180 degrees C for 40–50 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
While the cake is cooking, make the glaze. Place the orange juice and marmalade in a saucepan. Bring to the boil, stirring to dissolve the marmalade. Then remove from the heat. When the cake is warm, pour the warm marmalade glaze over, and allow the cake to cool down fully while soaking up the syrup.

This 1939 Sour Cream Cake Recipe is a great raisin tea cake. Simple to make, with ingredients you probably always have on hand.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
250 mL (1 cup) sugar
250 mL (1 cup) sour cream
250 mL (1 cup) raisins
250 mL (1 cup) currants
5 mL (1 tsp) baking soda
375 mL (1½ cups) all purpose flour
Method:
Preheat oven to 180ºC (350ºF).
Whisk together the eggs and sugar.
Whisk in the sour cream.
Stir in raisins and currants.
Stir in soda and flour.
Scrape into a greased loaf pan.
Bake for 45 - 60 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.

Orange Sour Cream Cake:
Ingredients

Method

While the cake is cooking, make the glaze. Place the orange juice and marmalade in a saucepan. When the cake is cooked, take it out of the oven and let it sit in the tin for few minutes. Loosening around the edges using a blunt knife, carefully remove the cake from the tin, peeling away the baking paper, then transfer to a serving plate. Pour the marmalade glaze over the cake (after reheating it if it has cooled down), then allow the cake to cool down fully while soaking up the syrup.
Chocolate fudge :
Ingredients
Caster sugar 3 cup
Cocoa 2/3 cup
Salt 1/8 tsp
Milk 1-1/2 cup
Butter ¼ cup
Vanilla 1 tsp
Method:
Line an 8-inch square pan with buttered paper. In a saucepan stir together sugar, cocoa and salt, then add the milk and stir. Cook over medium heat stirring continuously until mixture starts to boil for 15 minutes. Turn heat to low and continue to cook without stirring until temperature reaches 234 °F (112 degrees C), approximately 30 minutes. Remove pot from heat, add the butter and vanilla. Do not stir. Cool to room temperature (110°F) (44 degrees C), approximately 30 minutes. Then beat with a wooden spoon just until mixture begins to lose some of it's gloss. Then spread quickly in the prepared cake pan and let cool completely, overnight (at room temperature). Cut into squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

INGREDIENTS:
- 300 g Flour;
- 200 g Sugar;
- 4 Eggs;
- 200 g Yogurt;
- 100 ml Vegetable Oil;
- 300 g Sour Cherries;
- 10 ml Orange Extract;
- 10 g Baking Powder;
- Orange Zest;
- Pinch of Salt.
