This is a sugar free recipe of Teething biscuits for babies above 8 months & toddlers. This tastes amazing that even adults love to munch on this! With slight variations you can customise them accordingly. Monitor your baby when introducing new foods. Perfect eat lite biscuits without sugar!
✅Best for diabetic patients and should be consumed in moderation as it has banana ????
Ingredients: 12 to 14 biscuits
* 2 cups Oats(I used Old fashioned)
* 1 ripe Banana
* 2 tbsp + 1 tsp Virgin Coconut Oil
Optional
* 2 Dates soaked in warm water for 10 mins
* 1 pinch Cinnamon powder
Notes:
+ You can also use Cardamom powder, Vanilla extract or Cocoa powder to flavour the biscuits. — only for toddlers. It is perfect for the baby as it is.
+ These biscuits have very less sweet from the banana & dates. Perfect for babies. You can add 2 tbsp Maple syrup or other sweeteners when serving for toddlers/adults
+ Make it a little thicker for babies so that it wont break easily & thinner side for toddlers & adults.
+ Do not leave the baby unattended when introducing new foods. The may choke or gag on it.
Disclaimer:
Your child needs time to adapt to the texture of solid food before absorbing larger chunks of a teething biscuit, which could ultimately be a choking hazard if he is not familiar with how to chew. Make sure baby can sit upright, has the ability to hold it and feed himself. Usually baby licks, sucks, and rubs it around on gums, which may be helpful for teething. Do not leave them unattended when introducing new foods.

Airfyer Cookies Recipe (Gluten-free Homemade Teething Biscuits)
Are you looking for a gluten-free teething sticks recipe for kids? I got a request to share gluten-free onam sticks for a child who is allergic to wheat. When you think of teething sticks, you can imagine a hard-to-bite biscuit that is packed with nutrition for your kid. The homemade teething biscuits should be best made without a sweetener. Why should you avoid a sweetener for a baby? Well, it is reported that kids who get to taste sweet in their infancy develop a dislike for everything else. A child's taste buds are not developed at a tender age, which means you need not worry about taste when it comes to baking a recipe for babies. However, you still want to pack it with nutrition. Unless your child is allergic to almonds, you want to add this homemade nutty powder for a burst of flavor as well as nutrition for your tiny tot. I have added black salt in this recipe for teething babies but you can completely omit it or add a pinch of salt. Unless your baby has developed a taste for savory or sweets, they won't mind a bland teething stick either.
But our purpose is to ensure proper nutrition for them so let's get started with these easy teething biscuits that they can suck on. I have still kept these crispy because I am the one who will be eating these so wanted to keep this recipe as Onam sticks that are flavored with Indian spices - from carom seeds to cumin, kasuri methi and black pepper. There is nothing in this recipe that you won't like. So what are you waiting for? Let's start with making jowar onam sticks the healthy way in airfryer. jowar benefits are known to all of us. i have already shared many recipes with jowar.
Ingredients
1 cup- 240 ml (10 teething sticks)
1/2 cup- jowar (sorghum flour)
1/4 tsp- ajwain powder for babies
1/8 tsp- jeera powder for babies
1/4 tsp- black salt (a pinch for homemade teething sticks)
little amount of kasuri methi powder (dried fenugreek
2 tbsp- malai or ghee
3 tbsp water (2.5 tbsp to make teething biscuits that do not break)
To make homemade teething biscuits savory, you need 1/2 cup of jowar or sorghum flour. Add 1/2 tsp of carom seeds. Rub with hands. Rubbing spices releases their flavors. Let's add 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds. Again, we want to make sure that the flavor of jeera is infused into our jowar cookies so rub it with hands.
Now add 1/4 tsp of black salt to make no maida no suagr biscuits for kids. I reiterate you can completely omit salt for making teething biscuits or add just a pinch of it. Next 1/2 cup of almond powder goes in. Mix well. You may add 1/2 tsp of kasuri methi and rub it with hands.
After mixing all dry ingredients, it's time to add wet ingredients. The star of the show here is homemade malai or cream that floats on top of boiled milk. If you do not want to use malai, you may use ghee instead. I have used 2 tbsp of malai. You may replace with 2 tbsp of ghee instead.
Rub with hands so that the flour resembles more like bread crumbs. You should be able to hold it in your fist and it stays intact without breaking. That's it.
Now let's add water or milk. Add 1 tbsp first and make a dough. If the dough is difficult to bind, add another tablespoon. I have added 3 tbsp of water in total to make a semi-soft dough. If you want to make teething biscuits that don't break, knead into a stiff dough in that case. you can reduce water to 2.5 tbsp.
Take lime-sized balls and roll into a cylindrical shape. Please preheat your oven, otg, airfryer, convection to 160 degrees celsius for 10 minutes.
The dough is gluten-free so it might start to break but you can still make teething sticks with it. Follow the process of rolling out the jowar onam sticks with hands as shown in the video. It's easy; you can do it.
Carefully place the cookie sticks in the airfryer basket or baking tray. I do all my baking in airfryer. You can find hundreds of Indian airfryer recipes on the healthy recipes channel. You will be amazed with the ease with which you can prepare airfryer recipes.
Bake for 15-20 minutes at 160 deg c. If you bake longer, the gluten-free teething sticks will become hard. You can keep these harder when trying out the recipe for teething babies.
Let cool down and munch on teething biscuits if you have made these for yourself as gluten-free Onam sticks. Give one teething stick to your baby and watch them carefully as they suck on the biscuit. If they enjoy it, you have done a great job. Do write to me in comments about how you or your kido found the Onam sticks-cum- gluten-free teething biscuits recipe in India.
If you are looking for more gluten-free recipes, you will find aplenty here. I have baked a lot with sorghum flour so do check the jowar cookies, cakes, bread, roti recipes. Looking for more gluten-free baby recipes? Ask me in comments.
Stay safe. Stay blessed. Until next time take care .

Homemade Teething Cookies
We made teething cookies with only 2 ingredients!???? It ended up looking more like breadsticks though..???? ????
In Covid times, we are forced to make use of whatever resources we have. Mommy didn’t reveal it in the video, but the “veggie paste” she used in real life was: okra, tomatoes and red bell pepper!????
And I ate the cookies!!???????????? Good girl, aren’t I?????????????
