How to Make Creamy Tuna Sauce for pasta - Recipe in description
Suitable for Weight Watchers diet (7.5 P)
Preparation time: 15 minutes.
Difficulty: Easy
Calories per serving: Unspecified
Ingredients for 2 people:
1 can of tuna in water
1 large onion, diced
1 garlic clove, pressed
4 tablespoons of tomato puree (tomato paste)
1 tin chopped tomatoes
4 tablespoons of cheese (light, 10% fat content)
2 tablespoons of sour cream
Some instant vegetable stock (powder)
Lots of basil, fresh or frozen
200 grams of pasta
Salt and pepper
Some sugar
1 teaspoon of oil
Cook the pasta al dente.
Brown the onions in oil, add the tomato purée and cook together briefly. Add a little sugar, then the garlic and diced tomatoes (no need to strain them, they should be in small chunks). Pour over some vegetable broth, put a lid on top and let the sauce simmer for a few moments. Add the tuna and heat with the sauce while adding some water. Add the cheese, sour cream and basil to the sauce and stir. Season with black pepper (and some salt depending on your taste).
Mix and soak the pasta with the sauce.
The portion is then 7.5 points per person (for 2 people). On the other hand, if you want all the sauce for yourself, the figure goes up to 11 points, which is also reasonable.
You can introduce variations with cheese and sour cream to taste, calculating 0.5 tablespoons per serving.

Quick and Tasty Tuna Pasta with Red Sauce
One of our family favorites, this recipe is our go-to when we're running late and starving! It doesn't require many ingredients and most probably are all available in your pantry. It takes less than 30 minutes to have it ready and it's fulfilling and loved by kids and adults.INGREDIENTS:
- 400 grams of pasta (any shape you love)
- 1 or 2 cans of tuna (180 grams, you can use more or less according to your preference, here I used 2)
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2-3 cloves of garlic
- 1 jar of tomato sauce (about 290 grams, add more according to your preference)
- Parsley as needed
- Salt and pepper to your preference
Start by boiling the pasta as you prepare your sauce. In a saucepan, add olive oil and sauté the garlic until lightly golden, add the tuna can (be careful to prevent oil splatter) and let it heat for a few minutes. Add the tomato sauce, season with salt and pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to simmer. When your pasta is ready, drain it and toss with the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Extras
You can add black olives and/or capers to give it a twist (add it after the tuna before adding the sauce). We also add thinly chopped carrots with the tomato sauce to make it more nutritious
