Creamed Corn Recipe - I Heart Recipes
This homemade southern Creamed Corn is made completely from scratch. This classic southern side dish is sweet, creamy, and a perfect addition to any dinner. Start with some fresh corn on the cob, remove the silk, and cut the corn off the cob. My secret ingredient for cooking the corn? Bacon grease! After the corn is nice and tender, add some corn starch, flour, seasonings, and half and half. Cook on medium heat until your creamed corn is thick and creamy.

0:30 - Husk the corn.
0:40 - Rinse under cool water.
0:50 - Cut the corn off of the cob.
1:08 - Pour bacon grease into a pan.
1:11 - Add the corn.
1:20 - Cook the corn until tender.
1:25 - Sprinkle in all purpose flour.
1:30 - Stir well.
1:35 - Pour in half and half.
1:40 - Stir well.
1:45 - Sprinkle in salt and pepper.
1:50 - Sprinkle in sugar.
1:54 - Stir well.
2:00 - Cook until thickened.
2:08 - Dish and serve.

Cream Corn Recipe | Rudy's BBQ Cream Corn Recipe | Cooking Up Love
This Cream Corn Recipe is such a family favorite and tastes just like the incredible cream corn Rudy's Bar-B-Q is known for. If you've had the good luck to sample it at Rudy's you already know how creamy and delicious this is, and if you haven't yet, well you're in for something special with this!
It wasn't that long ago that our youngest would bypass the brisket and make a beeline for the cream corn, slathering it between pieces of white bread and making a sandwich dripping with this luscious cream and corn. He's such a happy little guy now that we can make his favorite at home ????!
Rudys Cream Corn Recipe Ingredients
¼ cup unsalted butter
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
3 cups corn (frozen or fresh)
2 tbl parmesan cheese, grated
Rudys Cream Corn Recipe Directions
In a heavy bottomed pot, melt 1/4 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add 1 cup of heavy cream and 1 8oz package of softened cream cheese cut into pieces, stirring to melt.
Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer, continuing to stir frequently. Once the cream cheese has melted, add 3 cups of fresh or frozen corn. I'm using frozen, and it's going to take the temperature of the mixture down a bit when it's added. Continue to cook on low for about 5 minutes to heat it through. Remove from heat and add about 2 tablespoons of freshly grated parmesan cheese and stir to incorporate it.
This copycat recipe of Rudys Cream Corn is perfect for serving with dinner, and is great to share with friends and family at cookouts, potlucks and for the holidays!

Rudy's Cream Corn!
In this episode of Vinnie's Vittles we cook one of Vinnie's most favorite dishes from a BBQ joint in Texas, Rudy's Cream Corn. This Cream Corn is sooooo good and I know you guys will love it.
Rudy's Cream Corn
Ingredients:
2 8oz Blocks of Cream Cheese
4 lbs frozen sweet whole kernel corn
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 stick of salted butter
4 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Directions:
1)Cut cream cheese into 1 inch cubes, cut stick of butter into 1inch cubes.
2)Combine all ingredients into crockpot. Place corn, then add cubed butter and cream cheese, then add sugar, salt and pepper. Lastly pour heavy whipping cream over the top
3)Heat on low for 4 hours, stirring occasionally as butter and cream cheese melts. Don’t short curt and cook too fast. The 4 hours let all the ingredients combine and create the great flavor we all want.

Creamed Corn is a Southern Classic and there are a few tricks to making it well. Start by getting your hands on the freshest corn you can find. Then, make sure you not only use the kernels but the corn milk that’s hiding in the cob. We love this Norpro corn creamer - it does all the work for you! To use it, simply run your cobbs along the blade over a bowl to catch the kernels and the milk.
To make great creamed corn, you need time. Slowly cook the corn and corn milk over low heat to bring out all the flavor and natural starches. Cook it this way for about 30 minutes, then finish it with a little cream, butter and salt. Delicious.
