How To make Crockpot Beans & Barley
Ingredients

onion, chopped

carrot, chopped

navy beans, soaked
1/2
teaspoon
prepared mustard
1/2
cup
split peas, dried
1/4
cup
pearl barley
1/2
cup
mushrooms, chopped
1
cup
pinto beans, uncooked
4
cup
vegetable broth
3
tablespoon
parsley, minced
1/4
cup
lentils, dried
Directions:
Soak white and pinto beans overnight. Saute onion, mushrooms and carrot in 1 tb. of vegetable broth until tender. Add drained beans, vegetable bouillon, mustard and parsely, bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 minutes. Add split peas, lentils and barley. Cover and simmer another hour until all beans are tender.
Note: If you like it spicy add lots of tabasco and pepper.

1 (1 medium) onion , chopped

1 pound (454 g) potatoes , cut into bite sized pieces
2 stalks (2 stalks) celery , chopped
2 cups (480 ml) beef broth
14 ounces (397 g) tomato sauce (about 1 3/4 cups)
2 Tablespoons (30 ml) Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce)
1 teaspoon (5 ml) dried herbs (thyme, oregano, basil)
1 Tablespoon (15 ml) sugar
1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt , or to taste
1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) black pepper
3 Tablespoons (45 ml) corn starch
3 Tablespoons (45 ml) water
