►Freezing uncooked meatballs:
Prepare the meatballs through Step 5. Arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until solid. Transfer the meatballs to a freezer container or freezer bag, and freeze for up to 1 month. (Meatballs can be frozen for longer, but tend to develop freezer burn.) Thaw meatballs in the refrigerator overnight before cooking.
►Freezing cooked meatballs:
Let the cooked meatballs cool completely, then arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze until solid. Transfer to a freezer container or bag and freeze for up to 2 months. Frozen meatballs can be thawed overnight in the refrigerator or reheated directly from the freezer. Reheat meatballs in a simmering sauce for 10 to 15 minutes or in a warm oven for 10 to 15 minutes.

Festive Holiday Cranberry Meatballs Appetizer
These are delicious and couldn’t be easier. Festive Holiday Cranberry Meatballs Appetizer! I love the color and the flavor of these delectable bites!.
VEGAN Holiday Meatballs With Gravy - Perfect for the Holidays
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and in our house, we are busy cooking. Today I invited mom to join me in cooking one of our favorite Holiday Vegan Meat Substitutes. As we were growing up, we would have something called “Festboller” for the Christmas meal. They are wonderful little meatballs in a flavorful sauce, usually served with mashed potatoes, and all the trimmings for the Holiday meal, but though they were vegetarian, they were not vegan. As we became more committed to a plant based diet, we longed for a substitute for these wonderful Holiday meatballs. So we set about recipe testing. It took many tries, too many to list here, but we came up with this version, and I think they are absolutely awesome. I prefer these Vegan Holiday Meatballs in the recommended gravy, but they are also wonderful just browned in the skillet or served with our Holiday gravy.
Hope your Holiday Season is filled with wonderful things! Happy Holidays!

FTC: Thank you to Club House Gravy for sponsoring and collaborating with me on this video
In this episode of Abbey's Kitchen she teams up with Clubhouse Gravy to talk about Healthy Holiday Appetizers.
We are on the official countdown to the holidays and whether you are hosting a casual cocktail party or a formal 12 course meal you are definitely going to need some appetizers on hand. The big problem however is that most appetizers are loaded with salt, sugar, and fat. 5 of your average holiday appetizers adds up to about 500 calories, which puts you in the danger zone. You could plow through an entire meal's worth of calories before you even sit down to eat, not to mention the calories you're taking in from that holiday wine you know you're going to drink.
Don't worry though, as usual Abbey's got the solution for your holiday problem. She's partnered up with Club House to bring a lightened up appetizer alternative that is not only better than many of the other fried alternatives it's also a breeze to make.
Abbey has chosen to make Healthy Cranberry Turkey Cocktail Meatballs as her appetizer. To get started put some rolled oats in your food processor and pulse it until it reaches a consistency similar to flour. After your oats are processed pull them out and set them aside in a bowl. Next add your mushrooms to the food processor and pulse them until you reach a ground meat consistency. You have no doubt seen abbey use this calorie saving, and delicious, trick in some of her other dishes.
Now you will add almond milk to your ground up rolled oats, just refer to the video for the correct amount. After you mix that together well you will add 1 lb. of extra lean ground turkey, minced onion, mushrooms, dried cranberries, sage, rosemary, and finally some salt and pepper. Mix that all together well until you reach a consistency suitable for making meatballs with.
Now we get to the really fun part, it's time to make those meatballs. Pull out small portions of your meatball mix and roll up your meatballs placing them on a lightly greased baking sheet. When you have a full baking sheet you will put them in the oven at 400' for about 20 minutes.
After pulling them out it's time to make our gravy. Most gravy recipes are time consuming and call for ingredients you simply may not have on hand. This is the holidays we are talking about here do you really want to spend extra time on gravy when you could be enjoying a glass of wine with your friends and family? This is when you hit the easy button and break out a packet Club House Turkey Gravy. It's a snap to make, the directions are right on the packet. Also, you can add as much of your Turkey Drippings as you want to it without compromising flavor. It is also much lower in sodium that your typical gravy, which is going to help cut back on the dreaded holiday bloat. Once you've got your gravy made it's time to plate your appetizer.
Abbey has chosen a lovely white serving platter to plate hers but just about any type of platter, or larger plate, would be fine. You have the option of pouring a bit of gravy over the top of each one, if you have the time and the inclination. You could also simply plate them and put your gravy in a bowl on the side allowing your guests the option of dipping. Top these with a sprinkle of fresh rosemary and a bit of dried cranberry.
