Hawaiian Kabobs | SilverForkFood Recipe
A relaxing Sunday grilling in the backyard. Inspired by the great food that Hawaii has shared with me.
Ingredients:
-1 Cup of pineapple chunks
-2 Tbsp of soy sauce
-1/4 Tsp ground ginger
-1 Tsp Sesame oil
-1 Tsp garlic powder
-1/2 Tsp Balsamic vinegar
-2 Skinless boneless chicken breast
-2 Tbsp Brown sugar

Hawaiian Chicken Skewers Recipe | SPLENDA® Sweet Swaps™

• Ingredients:
¼ cup pineapple juice
• ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
• 3 Tbsp. SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
• 1 Tbsp. ketchup
• 2 garlic cloves, minced
• 1½ tsp. minced peeled fresh ginger
• 2 lbs. small boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1” chunks
• 1½ cups cubed fresh pineapple
• 2 large bell peppers, cut into pieces
• 1 medium red onion, cut into pieces
• Olive oil, for brushing
• Salt, to taste
• Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
• Lime wedges, for serving
Directions:
• Whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, SPLENDA® Sweetener, ketchup, garlic, and ginger.
• Pour into a large re-sealable bag and add chicken.
• Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours and up to overnight.
• Thread chicken, pineapple, peppers, and onion onto skewers. (Discard bag with marinade.)
• Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
• Brush each skewer with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
• Grill skewers, turning occasionally, until chicken is nicely charred and cooked through, about 12 minutes.
• Serve with lime wedges.

Hi lovelies, another Sunday and another delicious appetizer recipe for you :) This one is however, the last one of my little series of Simple Appetizers, but I promise I will continue making these recipes for you once in a while in the future as well. Today's recipe is a great party appetizer I think, but it is also a great side to some rice, potatoes or salad for lunch or dinner. These Chicken Pineapple Skewers have already become my favourite and I will be making them for summer barbecues none stop because they are so yummy :) I hope you will also like this recipe and will give it a go :) Enjoy Lovelies!

These chicken kabobs are made with tender chicken thigh, sweet pineapple, red bell pepper and sliced onion. And the homemade sauce is made with pineapple juice, sesame seed oil, ginger, garlic and more. You can either bake these kabobs, or grill them outside, then serve with white rice on the side!

Hawaiian Meatball Kabobs
A sweet and savory combo that's a fun alternative to burgers!

HAWAIIAN MEATBALL KABOBS
Servings: 6 kabobs (with 4 meatballs each)
Ingredients:
1 lb ground pork
½ c bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten
¼ c finely chopped pineapple
¾ c barbeque sauce, divided
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp onion powder
Directions:
1. Soak 6 wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. Combine ground pork, bread crumbs, egg, pineapple, ¼ c barbeque sauce, black pepper and onion powder in a large bowl.
4. Scoop and roll into balls, about 1” in diameter and carefully thread 4 meatballs onto each skewer.
5. Place the kabobs on the parchment lined baking sheet.
6. Bake for 10 minutes, then brush with the remaining barbeque sauce. Flip the kabobs and brush the other side, too.
7. Bake an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the center of the meatballs are at least 160°F.
