Granny's (Secret) Pumpkin Pie Recipe! 4th Generation
You won't find this recipe anywhere on the internet, believe me I have searched high and low for it when it was lost. This recipe is now on the 4th and 5th generation preparing it and well worth passing on. This pumpkin pie is light and fluffy unlike most traditional recipes. I hope you enjoy it. The recipe is clearly called out in the video for the pie filling. When I added the ginger I said 1/4 cup of ginger, obviously I meant 1/4 teaspoon.
Below is the link to the recipe for the flakey butter pie crust:

Simply put, the classic pumpkin pie doesn't get much easier than this. To prevent a soggy crust, use a metal pie pan and pre-bake your crust with pie weights.

Homemade pumpkin pie is great, but it never reaches it's full potential unless you truly make it from scratch. We're gonna roast our own pumpkin, make our own sweetened condensed milk, and end with one of the most flavorful pumpkin pies you've ever had. A little effort goes a long way here.
