We started our Bacolod food tour with the famous Filipino food, half moon cakes, with some local coffee to wash it down. Known as the sugar capital of the Philippines, we continued our Bacolod food tour tasting a local favourite, chocolate cake from Felicia’s!
Another must eat on a Bacolod food tour is KBL. This sour soup made with the local batuan fruit was very unique and is a famous Filipino street food in Bacolod, Philippines.
We finished off our Bacolod food tour with none other than the original chicken inasal. I didn't get around to editing this video until recently on a plane on my way to Portland, OR for the Oregon Brewers Festival. This was a SUPER hoppy beer after 2 weeks of bottling but did mellow out just a tad after about a month.

Brew day for my Honey ginger lager 01.
Here's my recipe:
3 lbs brown sugar
2.5 lbs honey
4 ozs peeled ginger, chopped well in a food processor
lager yeast
Boil brown sugar and honey in water for 1 hour.
Add ginger at 10 minutes remaining in the boil.
