How To make Irish Bread with Sour Cream
2 1/2 c Sifted all-purpose flour
2 ts Baking powder
1 ts Salt
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/4 c Shortening
1/2 c Sugar
1 Egg; beaten
1 1/2 c Sour cream
1 c Raisins
1/2 c Currants
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and soda into a bowl. Set aside. Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and sour cream. Mix well. Stir into flour mixture. Mix until well blended. Fold in raisins and currants. Spoon into a greased 2-quart casserole. Bake for 50 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil and baked 10 minutes longer or until done. Makes one round 8-inch loaf.JM. From Maxie <maxie@usa1.com> -----

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups of Flour
1/2 cup of Sugar
2 teaspoons of Baking Powder
1 teaspoons of Baking Soda
1 tablespoon of caraway seeds
3/4 teaspoons of salt
1 1/2 cups raisins
2 eggs
1 cup of sour cream
1 1/4 cups of buttermilk
RECIPE
Pre Heat Oven to 350 degrees
Combined all dry ingredients
Combined all wet ingredients
Mix wet and dry ingredients together
Place dough in well greased skillet
Cut a slice in the dough and sprinkle to top with flour
Bake for 65-75 minutes

Unleavened Sour Cream Crescent Rolls
These richly delicious crescent rolls will go great with any meal during Unleavened Bread. For more unleavened recipes visit ucg.org/recipes.
2 cups flour
¼ teaspoon salt
⅔ cup butter
1 egg yolk
¾ cup sour cream (or plain greek yogurt)
Mix all ingredients into a bowl. Press the dough flat. Cut into triangles. Roll each triangle into a crescent. Bake at 400 degrees for about 12 minutes or until brown.
