Thai Egg noodle with fish ball and ground meat (บะหมี่แห้งลูกชิ้นหมูสับ) Ba mee haeng
Fresh egg noodles topped with fish balls and ground pork is one of the many popular Thai street cart foods you can find everywhere in Bangkok. It's my 'go to' when I want to make something quick and easy for my family. You will probably need less than 20 mins (including prep time) to make a hearty dinner for 5 people or more!
.
The noodle is being flavored with the pork fat garlic oil that I pre-made and always kept in the fridge.

If you are a noodle lover like myself I suggest you do the same too!
.
???? The tradition Thai noodle condiments are:
✅ sugar
✅ chili powder
✅ spicy vinegar
✅ crushed roasted peanuts
.
Personally, I like to add 1 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of ground peanuts, 1 tbsp of chili vinegar and a touch of chili powder to my noodle to brighten up my bowl. But there’s nothing wrong with eating it plain like the one here in the photo.

Thai Dry Noodle Soup w/ Wontons & BBQ Pork Recipe บะหมี่แห้ง - Hot Thai Kitchen!
Noodle soups are all over the streets of Thailand, but did you know that for most of those noodle soups, you can order the dry version where the noodles don't come with a broth? Instead of the broth, the steaming noodles get tossed in a flavourful seasoning sauce, but they are still topped with the same yummy toppings of your favourite noodle soup.
In this video, I'm showing you a recipe for Bamee Hang which is one of the most popular types that people order dry. And now that there's no broth to worry about, it is SO much faster to put together as you'll see! In this video I used Chinese BBQ pork and wontons as my protein which is very common, but you can just do one or the other as well!
If you want to make your own BBQ pork, check out my Banh Mi video where I share a delicious recipe for a simple grilled lemongrass pork that works fantastically in this dish!

BANGKOK STREET FOOD | Egg Noodle Soup With Red Pork & Dumplings - Made On The Streets Of Bangkok
This Bangkok street food is an egg noodle soup with red pork and dumplings, freshly made on the streets of Bangkok, Thailand.
This street vendor makes one of the best noodle soups in Bangkok. She sells noodles and rice with your choice of pork or duck.
She usually runs out of duck early in the morning and is left with pork. So come here early if you rather the duck.
You can also have her noodle soup with the traditional white rice noodle, but I prefer to have egg noodle. You can also have it dry or soup.
I use to love having it dry with the bowl of soup on the side, but lately, I've been having it with the soup in the noodles. Mixed with hot chilli sauce of course ;)
Price: 40thb (price varies depending on what soup, rice, meat you choose).
Location: Sukhumvit 81 Alley (opposite MY CONDO apartment)
